From back pain to Interstellar, it was an interesting week for my new routines as they entered their awkward teenage years.
A day that includes awards, improvised comedy, full houses and running through the rain to make a gig on time.
The best show of the run.
After taking a mini break from gigs it was a good feeling to get back onstage at The Kodiak Club in Fitzroy.
A step in the right direction but also a night where I am reminded that some words carry more power than I remembered.
The final Shelf for 2013 ends up being one of the all time best.
I can be hard work sometimes behind the scenes but I like shows and comedians to reach for perfection especially when it is time for The Shelf
It is my final gig at The Comic's Lounge for the year and it is a good show to finish up on.
This gig was much better than my previous gig at the Lounge due to feeling better and improved preparation.
The Moosehead Gala finishes off the Comedy Festival for 2013.
The finale of The Shelf had a fake Justin, video footage, a teddy bear microphone, legends of comedy and an Oscar speech. Just a typical show really...
We nailed our third show in season six of The Shelf last night with Tom Gleeson's cameo possibly being the funniest thing I never got to see.
The Shelf is back better than ever and nobody can derail our fun...even drunk lonely women sitting alone in the audience.
The final trip to Brisbane has me returning not only to the Powerhouse but also to performing my favourite material.
I had a fun night hosting at Checkpoint Charlie and inadvertently learned a little lesson in the process.
A new gig at Spleen Comedy night in which my set goes well but deep down I think I could have been a little better.
